Twisted Easel Card

The challenge this week on JustRite's blog is to do a card with more than one fold. I had just  treated myself recently to a JustRite stamp set that I wanted  from the first moment I saw it, and my first two Cheery Lynn dies. These three things formed the idea for the card. Then the mail came and much to my surprise, there was a beautiful JustRite border set in a grab bag I had ordered. Now, all I needed was a type of folded card. I found the instructions for the twisted easel card online, and decided to try it.
Here's my card :

The card base is covered in a striped paper and the bottom piece is embossed with the C'Bug Textile folder. The Cheery Lynn French Pastry doilies are cut out of vellum. The sentiment is from JustRite's Botanical Medallions & Banners ( my B'Day present to myself). The border is stamped and embossed using the JustRite Lace Borders Two.
The top is a 5" square of striped paper with a mitered frame made with stamped and embossed CS and JR Lace Borders Two. The Cheery Lynn die Princess's Garden Window is layered above the patterned paper and the French Pastry doily is on that. The rest of the top is stamped and cut out from the JR Botanical Medallions & Banners. The irises are coloured with Copics and layered with foam tape.
The top folds down on to the base forming a 5" square card. This design is remarkably easy to make and a lot of fun.

Also since I used Cheery Lynn Dies I thought I'd enter the " Anything Goes" challenge on Cheery Lynn's blog here : http://cheerylynndesignschallenge.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge
Simon Says Stamp also has a fun challenge found here that I am also entering this card in : http://www.simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.ca/
