I decided to do a winter landscape card that is basically the same as the Fall landscape card I did. I used all the same Impression Obsession dies to make this card. Bare Branch (DIE022-U), Small Deer ( DIE117-C) and Lg. Window with box(DIE103-ZZ) and the same stamp set as before also (CL227).
I painted the sky with different Twinkling H2O blues, the trees and snow are painted with Gesso. I applied a very pale wash of TH Distress Ink in Evergreen Bough to the trees and then put on a clear glitter paint which is so pretty IRL. I added some Perfect Puff to the ground and bare tree for some fun texture.
Don't be surprised if you see a version of this again in the spring!
Oh Darn! It started to rain. :( What could be more fun than shoveling slush in the rain ?
I'm entering my card here:

Beautiful wintery scene love the shimmer of the background . It sure is one blustery day out there
ReplyDeleteGorgeous winter scene & art Shona. I really like how you painted the trees with Gesso and the colours. The storm was here yesterday, I guess it headed your way after it left and I hope you have a white Christmas :) Take care, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteShona, this is so gorgeous! I love all of the color and texture. Your dry sense of humor cracks me up! I am sometimes a little scroogy especially in crowded stores and bad traffic, which we have more than we should of both in the Chicago suburbs! I do love Christmas lights, though. I love having my tree on after Dh goes off to bed and no other lights on except a dim kitchen light. Happy holidays-I hope that you get some snow. I can send you some of ours-7 inches yesterday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snowy scene out of your window! Your painted trees and sky are so pretty. Hopefully you will get your white Christmas. I totally understand what you mean. Love your deer and snow on the tree too. Great card. :) Thanks for sharing.
