Impression Obsession's challenge is to do a Birthday card. I'm lucky to have gotten anything done, this up and down weather is wreaking havoc on my head. This winter has my normal three day migraines sometimes stretching to seven and eight days, but I still love winter, especially since we have had snow on the ground most of the winter, and it's beautiful. I actually love to shovel snow !! Yes, I am a crazy person!
I had a background I made with Dreamweaver's Pearlescent Embossing paste ( this stuff is GORGEOUS!!). I had added a tiny little bit of Peeled Paint Distress re-inker and applied the paste to a KaiserCraft Leaves Stencil. It's a tad bit greener than it looks in the photo and it has a lovely sheen. I made a panel with an IO C-A-C Greenery stamp (CC018), lace and ribbon. I coloured the IO Open Rose (E6014) with Copics and added glitter around the edges. I don't have an IO birthday sentiment stamp, I already have at least a dozen others that say that, but I thought the Warmest Wishes sentiment from the IO All Occasion II (CL307) would be appropriate.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Shona, I love it. the embossed background is beautiful and compliments the CAC greenery (one of my fav CAC stamps) very well. The rose is gorgeous as well, beautiful colouring. I hope your migraines will stop when the weather levels out a little. We are buried under a ton of snow, but today it's bright and sunny and around zero, great for walking! Take care, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteWish you had been here to shovel my snow from my door and sidewalk...;-)! We don't usually have snow, but got 8.5". Yes I measured because I shoveled. LOLOL Your card is jaw dropping lovely!! What a really beautiful job on your flower and the BG leaves too! Thank you for the details about the petals. I love them!
