I thought it would be fun to make a card using my other new Unity stamp " Wishing you Joy". The poppies are so pretty. I used all Basic Grey papers, Webster's Pages lace and some velvet trim. I coloured the poppies with Copics and heat embossed the sentiment with copper embossing powder on vellum.
I'm entering this in Unity's Friends with Flair.
We had some very special visitors to our backyard this afternoon. We love birds and keep our feeders filled all year round. Today about a dozen beautiful Cedar Waxwings dropped in and hung out long enough for me to get some great pictures. I was and am very excited as I haven't seen these beauties in years. So I couldn't resist sharing!
I love your poppies and coloring is awesome. It feels like spring/ summer is really here. To answer to your question.... sorry took forever.... it was seeds of summer stamp set from JR. I am so looking forward what you will come up for this challenge.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card.
ReplyDeleteI love this, Shona! Those poppies are so pretty! I think I see some Crop Chocolate Fancy Pants Pink Velvet trim. I still have several yards of that! Your birds look kind of chubby-must have been fed well!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card, love the colours and the flowers. The waxwings are such beautiful birds, they hang out here at times. Take care, Shirleyxx
ReplyDeleteYour card is stunning. And the birds are amazing. Haven't seen those. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card! Cool birds!
ReplyDeleteCedar waxwings! We're they eating berries? They like to strip our crab apple trees this time of year! Love your poppy card, and it's great to see you back again this week!
ReplyDeleteThe Poppies look awesome with your papers. I don't get that type of bird on my feeders. They look like they are mixed with a Cardinal and a Titmouse. Pretty birds!
ReplyDeleteThose birds are so beautiful! Love the poppies on your card- and that you've coloured them in non- typical colours!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty choices you made for the color. I love the pink and orange poppies, the coloring is spot on. Great shot of your birdies. I love to sit in my craft room and watch mine right out the window.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! That lace is the perfect touch, too! Hey, glad to see that the birds came out to pay a visit - it'll be nice weather before you know it!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty, I love the colors and the lace, they really compliment those pretty flowers!
ReplyDeleteThe card is beautiful! I love the coloring on the stamp :)
ReplyDeleteFirst, your card is beautiful! I love the image and the colors you chose for the whole design. That lace is wonderful for it too!
