Serendipity

I thought I'd try making a wavy design down a card with the button stamps from JustRite's Buntings and Banners set. I drew two parallel lines on white CS using Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One with a pencil on my card. I stamped the buttons with VersaMark and Distress Ink ( the EP sticks better), and embossed with clear EP. I slipped up and made a bit of a mess. I thought it was garbage, and was cleaning up and putting the Borderabilities piece I drew the lines with away, and suddenly realized I could use it to cut a piece to cover the mistake. I suppose I could have just done one side, but I had two pieces, so I stamped the sentiment from the same set, by curving it on the block, and put the pieces on with foam tape.

I am totally incapable of leaving well enough alone, so I stamped another button, covered it with two coats of UTEE and tied a linen thread through it. I was pleased with how it was looking before I screwed up, but I think it turned out better because I screwed up !

I'm kind of pleased with this one, I think I got closer to CAS, even if it was through serendipity !
